Profile

Labfit was established as a partnership in 1992 to take advantage of an obvious gap in the Australian laboratory supply industry. Its highly competitive prices, top levels of service and innovative approach have led to steady growth over the years. Customers have and continue to come from a wide cross section of industry, particularly in the areas of:
  • Mining & Minerals Processing
  • Commercial Laboratories
  • Research Facilities
  • Teaching Facilities
Labfit was incorporated in June 1997, Labfit has now established trade agreements with the following suppliers of laboratory equipment and consumables.
Labfit began its own Research & Development programme in 1996 in response to an overall lack of price performance from any established manufacturer of some types of equipment. This R & D effort has resulted to date in two revolutionary products - the CS-2000 Carbon & Sulphur Determinator and the AS-3000 Autosampler Series.

The University of Georgia Soil Plant Water Laboratory is currently using the LabFit AS-3010D that has been modified with the new quad head and dual burette pumps. This new configuration of the AS-3000 allows for implementation of a new simplified titration procedure developed at the University of Georgia using calcium hydroxide for determination of the lime requirement of acid soils.

In March 2002 through our R&D program the TGA-4000 was realised through the need in the market for a more efficient and cost effective way to perform TGA or Loss on Ignition (LOI) analysis. In Febuary 2007, the TGA-1000, a linear robotic TGA was born based on the success of the TGA-4000.

Labfit is continuing its efforts in R & D and is seeking alliances with other manufacturers to form new products by combining the Autosampler (in particular) with those manufacturers' own products.
